Councillor John Aldridge

About this blog

The Chairman of Essex County Council has a number of roles such as presiding over meetings of the Council  but the key role is being an ambassador for the County insofar as Civic and Ceremonial activities are concerned and meeting and greeting important visitors to Essex.

The role is politically impartial and involves supporting all Members of the Council and in particular encouraging citizens of Essex in their voluntary activities which contribute so much to the overall wellbeing of the County.

In my blogs I look forward to providing snapshots of activities which I have the privilege of attending in my role as Chairman and which I hope will provide a flavour of the many and varied achievements of the Citizens of this remarkable County.
